JEFF MALULEKE’S MAKING A COME BACK
BY SIBUSISO NDLOVU

South African musician Jeff Maluleke is struggling to make a comeback after his recording company terminated his contract.

Jeff sings African music his popular song is Kilimanjaro, byala bya xintu and Mambo features Hugh MaseKela. The singer who is well known for songs like Kilimanjaro, byala bya xintu and Mambo Has received numerous accolades for his work over the years including two Kora Awards in 2003 for album Mambo, all Africa Music Awards for the album Kilimanjaro in 2001 as well as a SAMA10 Award in 2003/4 and the beat African Pop for the same project.
Maluleke has however only touched the surface of his inherent music well as he feels he is just getting started because the artist is launching his self-titled school this month in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga. Some of the areas of expertise the school is likely to look at will include music technology, performance, composition, and music business.According to those in the know, Maluleke has been putting a lot of effort into the opening of the school in his hometown. According to reports, the academy will have full-time courses which will run from Mondays to Fridays. Thereafter, there will be part-time classes which will be held on Saturdays and Sundays.

Maluleke is one musician who has been in the industry for some time and his gained wisdom over the years will come in handy for aspiring artists and those who might want to pursue other avenues within the music sect

It is very exciting to see such a talented artist going back to his roots and giving back to the community.  Hopefully in the coming years, we will see more experienced individuals from the music scene opening institutions which will help develop and equip rising stars with relevant information.
